Global Business Grand Prix Event Details
Conditions for Applying
To participate in this event, applicants must submit an original business plan to Global Village by the designated date. Business plans will be reviewed and a maximum of 8 finalists (individuals and teams) will be chosen to present at the Grand Prix.
To be accepted for review,
(1) applicants must be members of Global Village at the time of applying, and
(2) the business idea must:
be “global” in nature
For this event, "global" is defined as a "businesses or idea that has the potential to operate, make an impact, or form partnerships across multiple countries, regions, or cultures."
be written in English
be within 10 pages/slides
include a prototype or mockup of the product or service proposed
Evaluation Criteria
The following three criteria will be used for evaluating applications and finalists’ presentations:
Global Impact: the degree to which the idea has the potential grow globally and make a positive impact toward a sustainable future
Originality and Innovation: the degree to which the idea is novel and creative
Business Potential: the degree to which the idea has potential to succeed as a business
Schedule
March 7 February 28 (23:59): Deadline for submitting applications
March 14 March 7: Send results of selection process; finalists will be sent the details for presenting in the Grand Prix
March 21: Global Business Grand Prix
